Students will be able to dress up for Halloween on Wednesday, October 31st. However, there are some restrictions such as no makeup, masks, and costume accessories that could be considered inappropriate (guns, knives, weapons of any sort). Students can dye their hair but it must be done at home. Any sprays or restricted items brought to school will be confiscated. Students should be able to move freely in their costumes and they should bring extra clothes to change. Costumes can be fun, However, please make sure it is appropriate for school. A reminder that we follow the DOE Wellness Guidelines that can be found on the website. We ask that students do not bring candy and cupcakes. If your child will be giving out treats to their classmates, please bring healthy snacks. They will be able to past them out at the end of the day.
School resumes on Monday, October 15th. There will be no Boys and Girls Club at Paukūkalo on Monday, October 15th and Tuesday, October 16th. Students will be directed in the afternoon on the two day to their morning busses.
Parent Teacher Conference Week is 10/22-26. School will finish at 1pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The schedule for Wednesday is the same. School will finish at 12:25pm. If you have not signed up for a conference time, please contact your teacher.

Fall Break is from 10/6-10. 2nd quarter bus passes can be purchased during the break. The office will be open Monday through Friday from 8a-4:30p.
Letter sent home about bus. The bus schedules reflect the daily morning bus stops and times but the afternoon times is for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
School will be open on 9/11/18. However, all after school activities will be cancelled such as Kamaʻaina Kids and Cross Country practice. Boys and Girls Club in Paukūkalo will remain open. Letter

Our staff is wishing the Hurricane Lane did not cause damage to your homes and your ʻohana are okay. Other schools and families on the west side were not so lucky because of the fire. Our school will reopen on Monday 8/27 and Open House will be on Wednesday, 9/5. In support of Papa Mālaaʻo and Kindergarten, we will be wearing the following colors to the song Nā Waihoʻolulu:
